About Our Experience
We believe food is more than its flavors: it’s culture, memory, and connection.
This is more than a class; it’s a hands-on, delicious cultural experience of Mexico that engages all your senses.
We make it easy for anyone to participate and enjoy, regardless of how much or little cooking experience they have. This is about having fun, not mastering Michelin-star skills.
So take a sip of your included cocktail, beer, or nonalcoholic drink, and step into our open-air kitchen with breathtaking 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean.
In the boutique hotel Casa Ceiba, you’ll be guided step by step by our experienced local chef, using fresh ingredients to prepare authentic Mexican dishes.
From the rich complexity of mole to renowned fresh seafood and street food classics, our menu options highlight the soul of Mexican cuisine.
After cooking, guests sit together to enjoy the meal they created, paired with local drinks and a panoramic ocean view.
Afterward, we’ll share complimentary professional photos with you, plus the recipes you cooked, so you can recreate them at home. We hope you’ll come experience the Flavors of Mexico with us!
Meet Your Hosts

Kyle and Lili first visited Huatulco together in 2022 and were charmed by its natural beauty, the easy-going town, and vibrant culture. After traveling through many states of Mexico and tasting incredible dishes like the pescadillas from Guerrero, the carnitas from Michoacán, and the chiles en nogada from Puebla (Lili's hometown), they decided to return and make Huatulco their home in 2024.

Kyle grew up in Wisconsin, USA and was introduced to Mexican food from a young age, so he was eager to start traveling Mexico in 2021 when he had the chance. In his second week in Mexico, he met Lili and they fell in love on the beach near Puerto Vallarta, MX. Kyle and Lili enjoy cooking together and exploring regional cuisine wherever they travel.

Lili grew up in a small town in the state of Puebla, Mexico where her father has a farm. She would often help dry the Chiles he grew and learned about the delicious vegetables native to Mexico. She grew up helping her mom cook traditional Mexican dishes, especially for holidays and family get-togethers. She loves sharing the experience of the food which is so close to her heart.

They created Flavors of Mexico together in 2024 to share their love of Mexican cuisine with others. Cooking is a love language, a way of sharing and showing care for one another. We hope you'll come cook with us soon!

Chef Javier Cerón is a passionate ambassador of Mexican cuisine. With experience in renowned hotels and restaurants, he transforms local ingredients into unique culinary creations that blend tradition, creativity, and flavor. Today, he shares his talent through private cooking classes that invite you to discover Mexico through its flavors.

What Makes Us Unique
What sets this experience apart is the combination of authenticity, relaxing atmosphere, and hands-on learning.
Each guest cooks at their own station, preparing every dish with fresh, regional ingredients guided by a local chef who shares the cultural roots behind each recipe. Classes are small (8 people max) to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the setting—overlooking the Pacific Ocean—invites guests to slow down, cook, taste, and connect.
